About Tarmac Print

Tarmac Print is the print-shop brand of SynthMotion, a creative studio based in Seattle. Every poster is an orthographic blueprint — drafted from manufacturer documents, type certificate data, and primary airframe drawings — by an aerospace engineer who flies these aircraft in flight simulators.

Why blueprints

The aviation poster category is dominated by either stock-photo crops or AI-generator outputs that get the shape almost right but the proportions wrong. Tarmac Print is the alternative: the silhouette is the shape the spec sheet says it is, the scale bar is correct, and the typography references the engineering drawings the aircraft were built from.

How it ships

Every design ships to both Etsy (discovery, lower margin) and Gumroad (higher margin, direct relationship) in parallel. Same files, same prices — buy wherever you prefer. Digital downloads are instant. Physical prints come later, via Printify, once a design proves out digitally.

Pairs with Tailspec

Each poster pairs with a full reference page on Tailspec — specs, history, design notes, flight-sim guides. The two brands are independent storefronts but share the same DNA: aviation, drafted with engineering precision.
